Welcome

Status of 3.0 There has been a lot of good work put into 3.0, but there have also been some problems. So to get this started, I am issuing a Mea Culpa for the Administration and Head ST team.

We haven't been as organized as we could or should have been.
We haven't responded to problematic players or STs as quickly as we should have.
The design phase for 3.0 hasn't gone on as well as it could or should have. It's been confused and muddied and has resulted in more arguments than solid ideas. It's been a drain on the game as a whole rather than a positive exercise in creativity.

We are going to do our best to try to solve these issues, with me actively involved.

We will recruit a solid team of STs to serve as a solid foundation for each of the core gamelines for 3.0
While all of the Admins need to be aware of problems as they come up, having one who can specifically act to deal with most complaints on their own to deal with things quickly, rather than having things fester while a decision is made about what should be done.
We will present a solid foundation to the 3.0 STs once we have hired them. They will craft their plothooks, places, people, and other things of interest, then present to the players the 3.0 setting for them to start to find places for their characters to be connected to and be involved in. Players can still discuss topics that they come up with or those that the 3.0 team want feedback from the players on.

The 3.0 Administrative Team will change. It will consist of Me, Alvhild, Nicole, and one other person who has yet to be announced. Alvhild will be getting a promotion to being a full admin. Alvhild has been a great asset to the team I have been glad to work with Alvhild. Nicole will stay on and has been a very helpful presence on the team. Mark will be stepping away from the Administration position and will be assisting in technical matters when he is able to.

I would highly encourage those that want to ST for 3.0 to apply now. I want to help make the place well organized and a lot of fun to play in again. I will give people the tools that they need to help make that a reality. -JeffV
